Article submission FAQs
What is write for us?
Answer: We are an entertainment blog that does not have a writing team so we would be happy if you voluntarily write articles for us on subjects that interest you. Our articles will be formatted according to our style guide, so your articles need to abide by the aforementioned guidelines.
We typically post one article every day of the week, some on weekdays and others on weekends, but the track record is limited at this moment in time. Please write an article of 500 words or more about movies, television series, celebrities, etc.
Where can I write and get paid?
Answer: The top two sites when it comes to an income-earning, freelance writing site for writers are UpWork and Fiverr. Fiverr is one of my favorites because it works well for tasks like transcribing or designing logos – anything that can be done at home; you could do all that without having to leave my house.
Why We Pay Writers for Guest Posts?
Answer: Our goal is to with high-quality content in front of our target audience. For that, we need writers that are paid for their time and efforts.
The most common complaint about these types of posts is that they feel “spammy”. This spammy feeling stems from the fact that there’s no real chemistry between the company and the author. That lack is not just a tonal issue – it is, in large part, financially driven.
You can’t create quality content effectively without paying for it. When you pay writers, they feel like an important jewel in your crown – what they say becomes more than just words on a page but something meaningful…or at least more than just pixels on a screen, that is why we pay writers.
Where should you send your pitch?
Answer: Include a link to your blog post, youtube channel if applicable. Contact the editor of the site with a query email and wait patiently for a response from an assigner.
There is no formula for guest posting so getting your story out there can be as simple as having something to say and sharing it on blogs that are open to contributors – which is pretty much all of them these days.
If you have a quality video channel or blog where you can produce original content then it’s also worth pitching this information directly to us as we cater and prefer submissions from entertainment news bloggers.
Whom do we allow to publish?
Answer: Anyone can write an article for us, but we’re primarily looking for guest posts from entertainment bloggers. We occasionally need experienced writers who are also wiki editors to contribute their expertise when needed.
If you’re interested in writing or editing on the Wikipedia site, feel free to answer this question with your relevant information.
Why is guest posting important for your business?
Answer: By posting quality content on a site that has a high traffic volume, you’ve increased the relevance of your company. The more relevant a company is to potential customers, the easier it will be for them to click through and become customers themselves.
By sponsoring great content usually sponsored posts, and press releases on another site’s blog, you’re helping provide free publicity for that other site which will help them increase their traffic without getting into trouble with advertising rules.
A guest post or sponsored post attracts website visitors because they see that it’s coming from someone else just like them or who writes about things that interest them. This increases the chances that readers will finish reading what was written and take an action inside of your target page. Your article can show up on search engine results pages by publishing on Facebook.
Who Can Submit An Article?
Answer: You can guest post for us and we may accept guest posts pertaining to freelance writing and submissions from individual authors.
We use content submitted by any user, not just professional writers. But, while we all type with keyboards nowadays, your complete article must still make sense if read aloud. Multi-syllable words and jargon should be used sparingly (if at all) and you should avoid complicated sentences that run into the next paragraph without punctuation like an old man’s marathon monologue.
What Kind Of Articles Do We Publish?
Answer: We publish articles about entertainment-related topics, so if you have original articles about, say, how to get national press for your fantasy webcomic about dragons with opposable thumbs, then that’s great! Bear in mind that we’re readers too.
As long as it’s relevant in some way to entertainment–and not just because you’re looking for a home on the internet–we want to read it! We do all sorts of features on everything from TV recaps by bloggers to listicles with popular TV shows.
Some of our writers are also professionals who work in the world of entertainment outside of blogging–writers with theatre experience who are passionate about giving practical advice, theater criticism, or actors devoted to highlighting their life.
Who Are We Publishing For?
Answer: We are writing content for the readers. This means that based on what type of article they’re browsing, guest bloggers are given topics to cover.
Entertainment blogs are usually geared towards bloggers who want to increase traffic with their own blog by writing about something other than what they’ve written before. They also allow non-bloggers an opportunity for unbiased entertainment news and then offer a link back to our website as a way of advertisement.
