For years, the medical industry has been touting the benefits of having a regular health checkup. However, the truth is that most of us are not getting our health checked every year. In fact, only 15% of us get a yearly physical, and only half have a check up. Even when we do get a checkup, our doctors don’t always give us the right information to make the most informed decision about our health.

Your doctor doesn’t know your medical history or your physical fitness. Or maybe he knows that information, but he doesn’t have the time or the capacity to explain it to you. What he might be able to do though is give you a list of things that might help in helping maintain and improve your health. So for the sake of example, let’s say you go to the doctor and he gives you this list of things to do.

This is the second thing that I’d like to suggest to you. I know that sometimes health care providers are very busy, and tend to only really listen to what we, the consumers, really want them to do. But sometimes you have to take a look at yourself.
